North Penn High School's Indian Cultural Association (ICA)
North Penn High School's Indian Cultural Association has been supporting Aahana since 2012. It is a school-wide, for-charity organization promoting Indian culture and awareness to its members, school, and community. As a school-wide organization, ICA is happy to see members from all races and cultures learn more about the Indian Culture. Every year, ICA hosts events which showcase Indian culture such as Garba-Raas, Diwali Dinner, and Republic Night.
Republic Night is the biggest event held by ICA where hundreds of people come to watch performances and acts put on by ICA members. The night is to celebrate India’s most important day in history, Republic Day, where India officially became an independent country.
All of the Indian Cultural Association's events, especially Republic Night and Garba-Raas, are held to raise money for charity. As ICA is a for-charity organization, all proceeds go to a designated local charity. ICA recently chose Aahana to be that charity.
